First 30 Days of Breathwork Training
===
[00:00:00] Welcome to Breathwork Needs Your Voice. I'm Chauna, founder of Breath Liberation Society. We certify confident, trauma-informed breathwork facilitators, and this show is for anyone who's felt called to lead and hasn't seen themselves in the front of the room. Let's change this. Welcome, welcome to our last episode together.
We started with what people worry about when they want to lead breathwork. We talked about what it looks like when you're ready. We walked you through the Responsible Facilitation method. You heard from Sherry, one of our graduates. I showed you what's inside the training, and we talked about what you'll walk away with.
Today, let's get practical. Let's talk about what actually happens in your first 30 days and how you join us. But before we go into that, I wanna talk about what happens before you join us. We have one prerequisite for the training, and that is that you complete five hours of breathwork. Now, this can be personal practice.
You can do it on your own. You can do a guided practice. There are plenty of opportunities for that on YouTube. If you want [00:01:00] suggestions, you can just hit reply to this email and I will send them your way. You can go onto our graduate directory and click around those links and see where the students are facilitating.
A lot of them still offer virtual groups, so that's a great opportunity. Or you can just practice on your own. There are lots of ways to do it, but I do want you to complete five hours of breathwork before you join the training for a couple reasons. One, it really cuts down on the overwhelm when you're not having to learn and experience breathwork for the first time and also have your mind on the idea that you're going to be facilitating it.
Also
I want you to sign up for the training with eyes wide open. I want you to know what you're getting into before you sign up. And the best way to do that is to do breathwork, Because as you've learned in this podcast series, I am a firm believer that we must practice breathwork in order to authentically facilitate it.
On to your 30 days. Your first 30 days are all about you and your breath. You start with 30 days of breathwork. Module one, foundations, opens with 30 days of breathwork, . there's guided meditations that [00:02:00] you can follow, or we have links for things that you can look up. Every day you breathe.
That's it. That's the assignment. And I know that might sound simple, but remember what Sherry said, that the 30-day challenge is what, and I quote, "jumped off her learning," and she's kept it up ever since. That is so common for our graduates. So many of them start off with a 30-day challenge and keep going.
And breathwork does not just stay in the training. And quoting Sherry again, Sherry says breathwork found its way into many facets of their life. You can't guide someone where you've never been. So before you learn how to hold space for others, you have to develop your own relationship with the breath.
When you sign up for our training, you will start to get walked through the onboarding process, and one of the steps in the onboarding process is meeting everyone. You'll join the Slack community, and there is an introduction channel. You'll get to introduce yourself.
You'll see who else is in the training with you, therapists, nurses, yoga teachers, artists, doulas, people who just love breathwork. You'll get to see their introductions as well.
In the first 30 days, you will get on a call. You'll [00:03:00] join our weekly momentum sessions that start right away. You'll bring your questions, bring what's coming up for your practice, or you'll just listen.
Every call opens with breathwork, and regardless if it's something you've heard before, if it's something completely new, you'll always learn something on one of our calls. You will breathe in community.
In your first 30 days, you will also join one of our community breathwork sessions, and you'll get to experience what it's like to have space be held for you.
I still go to several different people for breathwork sessions. It's something that I recommend all of us do because again, you cannot facilitate if you do not participate, , in this modality.
In your first 30 days are you start learning, you start facilitating. We have practices that are built into each module, and in module one you'll have an assignment to facilitate a specific kind of breathwork, and you'll get that done.
At the end of 30 days, you will have a steady practice, a community that knows your name, and a foundation for which all of our facilitation is built
before I tell you how to join, let's talk about who this training is for. This training is for [00:04:00] you if you love breathwork, and you wanna share it with your friends and community. This training is for you if you're a healing or helping professional
Who wants to add breathwork to your existing practice. This training is for you if you never wanna teach breathwork, if you just want to facilitate it and use this as a tool for growth. This training is for queer people, Black people, trans people, disabled people, people of color, and anyone committed to being of service to all people.
It's not for you if you wanna facilitate breathwork, and you don't wanna practice yourself. I think I've made that clear. And it's not for you if you want a script or a guru. That's not my jam. I'm so about celebrating each of our differences and elevating each of our unique voices. This is definitely not for you if you believe that healing spaces should be exclusive.
It's not So here's how you join us. Your next step is my free masterclass, Three Steps to Becoming a Confident Breathwork Facilitator on Thursday, November 19th. I'm teaching it twice that day at noon Eastern Standard Time and 8:00 PM Eastern Standard Time. So pick the one that fits your schedule. It's [00:05:00] live only, so come ready to take some deep breaths with me and learn all about the training.
And if you stay to the end, You get a free mini training that's yours to keep, and that is the quick start guide to breathwork for anxiety as a thank you.
Enrollment for the training opens that same day, November 19th, Tuition is $2,800, or you can pay in two payments of 1,400, and that price is available until December 1st. After December 1st, the price goes up. Here's the fun part. When you enroll by December 1st, you get a bonus month, so that means the clock doesn't start until January 1st.
So if you're, like, thinking you're gonna be really busy over the holidays, don't worry about it. You get extra time. So when you enroll before December 1st, the clock does not start until January 1st, and then you can kick it into gear in the new year if you need to and start working then.
Or you can probably be pretty much through the first two modules before the new year if you tend to have a slower holiday season. The link to save your spot in the masterclass is in the show notes and in your email.
Thank you so much for spending these seven episodes with me. this is my [00:06:00] first time making a podcast, , and I will admit it was a little bit harder than I expected, but so far the response has been incredible and I'm, I'm really grateful that you took time out of your day to hang out and learn more about Breath Liberation Society and about bringing breathwork to communities and representation to this field that is very much our birthright
