“The Breath Liberation Society Breathwork Facilitator training course is one of a kind. What a gift to learn this magic from so many perspectives, each one as valid as the next. Trauma-informed presence is so vital to supporting folx on their healing journeys. Anti-racism and inclusivity are imperative for healing facilitation to be authentic and whole. Participating in this program filled me with gratitude. Thank you Chauna and the Apiary!" — SS
"Breath Liberation Society has a unique approach, with a real, hands on, "walk the talk" method when it comes down to diversity & inclusion. The program is structured around a myriad of facilitators rather than around just one "guru". The result is a teaching that is at core aligned with the deep collective values that it is teaching. That changes everything! And behind that master plan, people who are truly dedicated to provide a coherent, cohesive, complete training. 5 Stars." — CM
After this training, here's what becomes true for you:
You know exactly what to do after holding space for someone in crisis. You have the tools to release their pain so it doesn't linger in your body, follow you home, or show up in your dreams days later. You've learned how to support without absorbing.
You have boundaries that protect your energy while still letting you be fully human. You can feel deeply, care completely, and still not be crushed by the weight of what you're holding.
You've found real purpose with Breathwork. Maybe that means guiding transformative sessions for clients. Maybe it means using what you've learned to move through your own life with more ease and presence... like taking a few rounds of straw breathing before a tough meeting, or pausing for one intentional breath before responding to that family member who always knows how to push your buttons.
You understand how Breathwork connects to the nervous system, and you feel completely confident teaching others how to find the practices that work for their unique needs. You have an unshakeable personal practice that grounds you and allows you to hold brave, authentic space for the people who need it most.
You feel confident leading sessions, even when things get emotional, messy, or don't go according to plan.
You feel confident voicing your needs, setting boundaries, and protecting your energy without guilt or apology.
You feel confident trusting your intuition in the room, knowing you can hold whatever arises with skill and care.
This isn't someday. This is who you become through this training.

Before we keep going, I should introduce myself...
Hi! I'm Chauna (she/her), founder of Breath Liberation Society.
I'm a dog mom, fitness expert, and lover of all things sunshine and oceans. I started a Breathwork school because I wanted to spark real change in the Breathwork community, and over the past 6 years, that's exactly what's happened.
Since opening our doors, BLS has trained over 70 Breathwork facilitators and served hundreds of community members through our virtual outreach programs across the US and abroad (as far as Sydney, Australia!!). Our graduates are leading sessions everywhere from private practices to wellness centers, therapy offices to corporate spaces.
I've had the privilege of representing BLS at conferences and trainings across the US and UK, and most recently served as Facilitator in Residence at Sounds True and presented at the Polyvagal Institute's Global Gathering, bringing trauma-informed, inclusive Breathwork to stages that have historically centered more traditional voices.
Here's why BLS exists:
Too often, I found that Breathwork schools lacked diversity and operated in the outdated wellness model of having one "all-knowing" leader. Schools taught either the magical side of Breathwork or the science, rarely both, and almost never with nuance.
At Breath Liberation Society, we're doing things differently. Our Apiary (faculty) represents different voices, backgrounds, and perspectives. We believe in Breathwork as a tool for intuition development AND magic, and we go deep into using it for nervous system regulation. You get both. You get all of it.
If you believe in the power of Breathwork and are excited about shaking sh*t up, welcome. I'm glad you're here.

Meet Eli aka The Gender Doula
Eli Lawliet, Ph.D., (he/him) specializes in breathwork for thresholds and all that they bring - grief, loss, change, joy.
The Challenge:
Like many seasoned practitioners, Eli was looking for a breathwork training that not only enhanced their existing skills but also aligned with their values around community care, ethical facilitation, and inclusivity. Eli needed a program that would take him beyond basic techniques to truly understand the nuances of holding space for others in a way that was ethical, trauma-informed, and grounded in social justice.
The Solution:
The turning point came when Eli discovered BLS Breathwork Facilitator Training. From the outset, it was clear that BLS was different. The training program is built on a foundation of community care, trauma-informed practices, and ethical breathwork facilitation. Chauna’s approach struck a perfect balance between challenge and support, offering an in-depth, structured learning experience while maintaining a deeply human, connected atmosphere.
Recommendation:
"I wholeheartedly recommend the BLS Breathwork Facilitator Training to anyone serious about learning this powerful modality while staying true to values like ethical practice, anti-racism, and community care. Whether you're new to breathwork or have years of experience, Chauna’s training offers a rare depth that will prepare you to truly support your clients in profound ways."
